i took this picture because my fingers were stained with paint and ink and the sun had just set and i felt like bliss. 🌱 "can we find a silent neighborhood, where we could lay down on rooftops? watch the sky fall, much like our wild hearts and souls." ✨ #rainepoetry
i wonder what it feels like, to know a writer is (falling) in love with you... do you feel safe, knowing you are the ink in their pen? do you feel comfortable, as they focus in on the little details of you? do you feel excited, to see the places they have created for you? do you feel bliss, as they wrap you up in silly daydreams? and, how do you breathe, knowing they are (falling) in love with you? is it easy, you could rest next to them, listening to the forest of thoughts they have? is it quick, small strikes of lightning running through your veins? is it pleasant, the way they give you light, your ribcages rising and falling in a steady and smooth tempo? oh. how i wonder. 🌱 #rainepoetry

lemonade days: i want to have lemonade days with you. the kind of mornings that beg the sun to climb into our bedsheets and pillows. the kind of afternoons that sit next to sunflowers, sipping on freshly made lemonade. the kind of evenings that are spent barefoot chasing fireflies and falling stars. ✨ side note: i was in love with the yellow clippings i had taken from a magazine and this piece was a product of all those little things. it's amazing what photos and words can do to inspire you! 🍋 #rainepoetry
maybe, when it comes down to it, you and i are skeletons of a breath. what happens when we come together, though? will you let me hold your bones, even if they begin to sink into the earth? will you hold mine, even as they return to ashes? i don't have tomorrow etched into my marrow, but, i have pale cream in my skeleton, and i know your bones are collecting stories to tell to the dirt, but, i want you. i want you and your stories. you and your skeleton. you and your ashes. my marrow is full. my hollow dream is yours. take the life i have, it is yours. the underworld, the graveyard, the city of the dead will be full of our song. 🎶🖤💀 #rainepoetry

you guys, i'm so sorry. i'm sorry if one of the voices that saved you is now gone. i'm so so very sorry. it is a loss that will take time to recover from, but, we'll all cry and remember and mourn together. our aching chests will find a place to breathe. i'm sorry. 💔

i am stardust in the morning, when the sun still sleeps under the clouds. i am bright eyes searching for constellations to sit on my fingertips and trace their way to my spine, like string lights. i see the silver and honey fires dancing with my bones. i believe i am as small and sweet as the stars that hang above my nightdreams. ✨ #rainepoetry
